Credits
Credits are how you pay for AI work in AppX. Generating screens and making chat edits spends credits. Reading code, previewing your app, and chatting without a code change are always free.
You learn what something costs by watching the credit meter — the rules below tell you what to expect, and the meter shows the exact number each time.
What Costs Credits

A few things worth internalizing:
- Generation is per-screen. A five-screen app costs roughly five credits to generate. If two of those screens fail, you're refunded for the two that didn't land — you only pay for screens you can actually use.
- Edits are metered, not flat. A one-word copy tweak costs near the minimum; a sweeping change across several screens costs more. The composer shows the cost as it works.
- You're never charged twice for the same turn. If the AI retries or iterates while applying your edit, those iterations are included.
How Deduction Works
Credits are reserved up front and only finalized on success:
- You start a generation or edit → credits are reserved.
- The AI does the work.
- It succeeds → the reserved credits are spent.
- It fails, or you cancel the edit before it lands → the credits are refunded.
So a failed generation or a cancelled edit costs you nothing.
Monthly Credits by Plan
Every plan includes a monthly allowance that resets on your billing date and does not roll over:

Top-Up Credits
On any paid plan you can buy more credits without changing tiers:
$5 = 60 credits.
Top-ups stack on top of your monthly allowance, are spent only after your monthly credits run out, and don't expire. Buy them from Account Settings → Billing.
Checking Your Balance
Your balance is shown in the AppX workspace. Open it to see your current balance, recent usage, and your next monthly reset date.
